Given that the administration believes that the Iran deal will not stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons (and that Iran has no intention of not acquiring nuclear weapons), and will not prevent it from becoming the greatest power in the Middle East, it’s not surprising that they aren’t worried whether the “Iran nuclear deal can be saved”.
Of course, this killing is an act of war. But it seems to be known that Iranian forces have killed US service people as well, so we seem to be in a slow-motion war already. Not surprisingly, Trump seems to feel that we have less to fear from escalating the war than Iran does.
