If he regains power, Donald Trump wants not only to revive some of the immigration policies criticized as draconian during his presidency, but expand and toughen them.
Of course, Trump is *running* on xenophobia. And it will get some votes. I just stumbled onto a Twitter feed, and finally notice the right-wing slogan is “Close the border!” They don’t really mean to keep out unauthorized foreigners, but *all* foreigners.
